CARDBOARD FISH - COLLECTION No. 1

2023-2024 | Cardboard and glue

This was my first multi-piece sculpture project, and was exhibited as a small solo show.

It was born out of a tasty corrugated cardboard find in our apartment dumpster, limited funds for materials, and my deep climate anxiety. The aim was to make strange, semi-realistic fish heads out of a material that wouldn’t stand up to the watery environment where these creatures would live.

This is the first ‘haul,’ so to speak - I’ve loved making these and expect there will be more swimmin’ by soon.
